Should the topics and episodes for these programs be merge? I'm not sure what the practice is, but I assume it's one topic per series, regardless of if it's realized in multiple regions.
-
I can't tell for sure about Death Note, but the practice should be that, if a series is the same in multiple regions, it's one series (e.g., the Japanese series is rebroadcast in the US). However, if a network in another region remakes the series for that region (like the US version of The Office), then it's two series.

Looks like this is the same show, though I don't know where this later release date came from (tvrage.com is down). I'm pretty sure they haven't remade Death Note for the US
If that's the case, it should be one show, since it's (mostly) the same content, just translated.

Now that I can visit TVRage, I see that there are two entries for Death Note: one for the Japanese run and one for the US run. TVRage is a bit inconsistent in this regard, with some anime having two entries and others having just the info for one of the runs.
Do we want to preserve the US run information? I still think it should be one topic, but I don't want to screw things up if someone wants to keep that information or confuse the importer with two IDs on the same topic.

In case anyone's listening…
I think an "Episodes" property should be added that possibly links to "TV Episode". Any thoughts?

I have a draft type for "OVA Episode" here. Any further ideas would be welcome.

I'm thinking about adding new properties to the Franchise type to include video games and novels tied to the franchise. Also, I think a property for the "sound drama" titles should be included, perhaps with a new type.

Not sure what to do with this topic.
I've made a topic for the two different Lockon Stratoses (Neil and Lyle Dylandy), since this topic points to a wikipedia article that discussed both (and now is a part of a bigger Gundam 00 character page). The keys for this one include "/wikipedia/en/Lockon_Stratos", which I'd probably want to tie to the first Lockon (Neil), and "/wikipedia/en/Lyle_Dylandy", which should of course be tied to the second. The topic should be merged, but I'm just not sure to which one. Then again, since both wikipedia keys go to the same page now, it may not really matter.
Any ideas on the best practice for situations like this?
