You’ve been busy!

    1. First, thanks for all the votes on the pipeline tasks.

I was looking at the types in your new domain, and I’m a little confused by them. Person is a person? A bunch of protocols are typed as network? Usually, a type can be used in an is-a sentence: Metaweb is-a Company, Freebase is-a Website. User is-a person doesn’t seem to quite fit. Are you doing something I’m not understanding here with metatypes?

      1. Hi crism,

Sorry about that... I am trying to model the emerging MobileTV domain. Person is a person is indeed a redundant relationship and not a proper naming convention for the concept I was trying to represent.

Your feedback is exactly what I was looking for, and I think I typed things a little awkardly, so apologies for that. Perhaps I should remain in the Sandbox while attempting to build out MobileTV as a knowledge domain, however I'm concerned about the weekly refresh while trying to develop a consensus (a process which tends to take time) for the language and terms, that will eventually be used to build this technology globally.

My concern is that MobileTV is potentially a billion dollar business and I don't mean to seem biased in the definition of this domain, I simply see the importance of ensuring that a community-created definition of MobileTV emerges as the dominant view, as opposed to any one particular corporate or private view being forced upon a given population. I feel Freebase is certainly the one trustworthy community data source for this collaborative definition.

I will review the "loose" associations you mentioned and try to clean things up myself but also understand and invite you if you need to make any changes as well. If you want me to clear up anything else I am open to suggestions... hope to add value to the community, not graffiti! >
