Anton Furst (born Anthony Francis Furst) (May 6, 1944 – November 24, 1991) was a distinguished production designer who won an Oscar for designing the Batmobile and the noirish nightmare version of Gotham City in Tim Burton's Batman (1989). Born in London, Furst trained at the Royal College of Art, London, he gained high praise for his work on Neil Jordan's The Company of Wolves (1984).
