"Canvassing for Votes" was the second of a series of four oil paintings, titled "The Humours of an Election", by English painter, engraver, and social critic William Hogarth (1697 - 1764). Completed in 1755, this painting, along with the other three that make up the complete series, is part of the collection of the Soane Museum in London.
