Kane was born in Dallas, Texas. Although born in Texas, his family moved around the South and Midwest before finally settling in Norman, Oklahoma when he was in the 8th grade. While studying Art History at the University of Oklahoma, Christian caught the acting bug and headed to Los Angeles before finishing the degree. He has a scar on his upper lip from an injury he received while filming Secondhand Lions. He has never had any formal acting training.
Starting out delivering scripts for a talent management company, his first acting role was in the 1997 TV series, Fame L.A.. The breakthrough year for Kane, though, was 1999. He was first involved in two projects; Rescue 77, a short lived television series, and the film Edtv....
