"Understanding User Groups and Roles "
One of the best parts about creating a base is sharing it with other people. When you invite others to become members of your base, they can also receive information about updates to your base, collaborate with you on its development, contribute to discussions about your mutual interests, and help you administer it. A base, in other words, can be a gathering place for a community of people who have a common interest and want to work together to create something that they can share with the world.
Inviting others to join a base is easy.
- Click Invite Others on your base homepage.
- Enter the email addresses of people you want to invite, as well as an invitation message.
- Click Send Invite.
The people you've invited will receive an email invitation with a link that will let them become members of your base.
Once someone has accepted your invitation, you can promote them from Member to Expert or Administrator (the help topic Understanding User Roles has more information about what different types of users can do).
- Click the Members tab on your base homepage.
- Click edit next the category of user (Administrator or Expert) where you want to add a member or another Freebase user.
- Enter their user name.
- Click Save.
