Lannion (Breton: Lannuon) is a commune in the Côtes-d'Armor department in Bretagne in northwestern France. Lannion is a sous-préfecture of Côtes-d'Armor, the capital of Trégor and the center of an urban area of almost 60,000 inhabitants. Inhabitants of Lannion are called Lannionnais. At the last census (1999), the municipal population of Lannion totalled 18,368 inhabitants (9007 men and 9361 women), the total population was 19,351 inhabitants.
