Many neurosurgeons pursue an additional one to three years of training in a subspecialty fellowship (like pediatric neurosurgery, epilepsy, tremor, or stroke ("functional") neurosurgery, microneurosurgery, endovascular or open vascular neurosurgery, or neuro-oncological surgery).
