Pompeu Fabra University (Catalan: Universitat Pompeu Fabra) is a public university in Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain. Founded in 1990, it is named after the Catalan grammarian Pompeu Fabra. As of 2007, the university has 8,500 students and 1,008 lecturers.
