Reasoning From the Scriptures is primarily a doctrinal handbook of Jehovah's Witnesses arranged by topic, although it contains other features (pp. 7, 8). It is designed as a quick reference work for use in evangelizing activity and source for Bible speeches, and giving accurate answers to questions a Witness might encounter. It is mainly for use by the Witnesses, and so is not offered to the public in general. However, it is available to anyone who wants a copy. The Reasoning book consists of 456 pages, and refers to 28 different Bible translations. Seventy-six doctrinal topics such as the Trinity, apostolic succession, abortion, dating, and sin are discussed. Included with them are both scriptural and secular references to support conclusions and statements made.
