Alyssa Milano played Phoebe all eight seasons of the successful long run of the series.
The name of this episode is a play on words from Shakespeare's Macbeth. There are three witches, known as the Charmed Ones. The line is: "By the pricking of my thumbs, something wicked this way comes."
