        I think the "influence node" type is intended to be restricted to people, so it probably wouldn't make sense to use that type for programming languages.

        There isn't really a way to restrict cotypes. So just as it is possible to type a programming language as an influence node, it is also possible to type a country as a disease. It's possible, of course, to create a list of mutually exclusive types like this and clean them after the fact, and there has been some work done in this regard, but there's no way to do it up front.
