After you've created a base and others have begun contributing to it, you might want to create some Help topics that are specific to it. The Music and Publishing commons, for example, already have a number of help topics on subjects like how to enter specific types of information, or how to deal with two topics about the same musical artist.
- Click edit next to help in the far right column on your base's homepage.
- Enter the name of your help topic.
- Click Create new help topic .
- Click Save.
- Click the name of your new help topic to edit it.
- Click Save when you're done entering the text.
When you've finished writing your Help topic you should edit its properties. This isn't strictly necessary, but it helps users distinguish between help topics from different domains when looking at the Help Topic type table view.
- Press F8 to open the developer toolbar at the bottom of the topic page.
- Click Admin View, then 10 empty fields below the Help Topic type name.
- For Help Center, enter the name of your base, like Tall Ships or Wearing My Religion.
Don't worry about any of the other properties, as these are used mostly to organize content in Freebase Help. If you want you can fill in the Intended Audience property and User Level properties (note that these are enumerated types, so your entry options are limited).
